Tackle counts and go forwards

Hi. I have noticed this week that overall tackle and go forward counts are down. For example Victor Vito is credited with 7 tackles and 2? I think go forwards. Another stats website shows him to have 4 go forwards and 16 tackles. I saw the game and he was tackling all night. In a double tackle are both guys credited? I have noticed that numbers for tackles and go forward are often lower than what I expect after having watched the games.
